Woven from werregue palm by Wounaan artisans of the Chocó.
Werregue palms: the palm is cut, peeled and left to sun dry. The palm fibers are dyed, and then woven into copper, silver or gold toned bronze wire. The result is a shiny, sleek and unique delight.
We are a small, new business. While we are not certified by the Fair Trade Federation, we work to fair trade principles and we’re glad to show our work. We buy through a Colombian studio that works directly with the Wounaan group and pays them before production begins. We know whose hands make what, we source the highest quality pieces using our own eyes and hands, and we handle the import and logistics. And we will answer any question you have about it!

The fiber is wound around the form under tension, tight enough that the finished bracelet holds its shape without any core. The pattern is counted rather than drawn, one pass at a time, which is why no two pieces come out identical — and why a wide cuff takes far longer than its width suggests.
